CEREC -ONE DAY DENTISTRY
CEREC – A CAD/CAM system (Computer aided design/Computer aided manufacture) one of the most advanced dental technology is now available here at SOHAM DENTAL. CEREC has a system which has a digital scanner and camera fitted to the unit. CEREC technology has been in use since late 1980s and has been updated continuously since then.
The complete procedure is in the dental operatory itself. The scanner is used to take an optical scan or take a video of the patient’s oral cavity that is displayed on the computer screen. This avoids insertion of a non-toxic tasteless powder or impression materials which a dentist uses to take the measurement. The whole optical impression takes a minute or two only.
CEREC is a great treatment option as not only does it save time for the patient but It”s more precise & perfect fit as it’s done in house and self-designed by the dentist. CEREC is used practically for all crown and bridge work, veneers, full mouth construction, dental implant prosthesis, inlays, onlays, clear and sleek orthodontic Aligner procedures like Invisaline Or SureSmile .
CEREC treatments cost pretty much the same as lab based alternatives.
